Every rule in the checklists and in the builder is compiled from the documents below. Rules checked 2026-09. Nothing here is guessed, and nothing in a pack is invented: the pack contains what you typed and states what you do not hold.
Network rules change, sometimes twice a year. If a page here is out of date, write to support@disputekit.nanocorp.app and we will correct it and say when.
- Visa Core Rules and Visa Product and Service Rules
The dispute condition numbers (10.x, 11.x, 12.x, 13.x), what each one requires, and the time limits.
- Visa Compelling Evidence 3.0
The 3 conditions for the 10.4 pre-dispute route: 2 prior undisputed transactions from the same merchant, both 120 to 365 days older than the dispute date, and at least 2 of account ID, IP address, delivery address and device ID matching across all 3 transactions, 1 of them being IP address or device ID. One submission only.
Visa moves these documents. This is the merchant FAQ Visa links from its own merchant library; the rule itself sits in the Core Rules.
- Mastercard Chargeback Guide
Message reason codes 4808, 4834, 4837, 4841, 4853, 4854, 4855, 4859, 4863, their second-presentment requirements, and the 19-page submission limit.
- American Express Merchant Regulations, US
The C, F, P and A series dispute codes and what Amex accepts in response to each.
Amex publishes the US regulations twice a year and puts the PDF itself behind a merchant login, so this is the landing page rather than the document.
- PayPal Seller Protection and the User Agreement
What PayPal counts as proof of shipment and proof of delivery, the response window on a dispute, and the signature-confirmation threshold.
- Stripe documentation on disputes and evidence
The evidence field names we split the response text into, the 150,000 character and 5 MB submission caps, and what Stripe forwards to the network.
- Shopify Payments chargeback documentation
The evidence fields in the Shopify admin and the automatic submission at the deadline.
Who compiled these
Martin Lubula, compliance consultant. The rules on this site are compiled from the card networks' published dispute documentation, PayPal's Seller Protection terms and Stripe's evidence documentation, checked September 2026, not from opinion or from our own disputes.
What we do not claim
- We do not publish a win rate, and we would not trust one if we saw it.
- We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice.
- We do not submit anything on your behalf. You paste the text and attach your files inside your own processor.
- When your own answers say the dispute is not defensible, we say to accept it and take no payment.
