Visa 13.2

Cancelled recurring transaction

The cardholder says a repeating charge continued after they cancelled, or that they never agreed to it. This code reads the consent record and the cancellation record. You need the dated wording the customer accepted, and evidence that no cancellation reached you before this charge.

The evidence this code accepts

  1. 1

How the customer agreed to the recurring charge

The consent record is the whole case on this code.

  2. 2

    The date consent was given

Undated consent is treated as no consent.

  3. 3

Whether a cancellation request reached you

One request before the charge date ends the dispute.

  4. 4

The cancellation terms shown to the customer

Shows what notice period, if any, applied.

  5. 5

    Customer messages about cancelling

The reader wants the exchange, not your description of it.

  6. 6

Proof the service was still available

Shows the charge bought something the customer could use.
