Visa 11.3
No authorisation
Visa says the charge was settled without a valid authorisation. This is a processing code, not a fraud code. Either you hold an approval code for the amount and date settled, or you do not. If you do not, the dispute is correct and evidence cannot fix it.
The evidence this code accepts
- 1
The authorisation code from your processor
The only item that answers this code.
- 2
The authorisation date
Must line up with the settlement date.
- 3
Amount authorised against amount charged
A settlement above the approval is a separate failure.
- 4
The settlement submission date
Shows the charge was presented inside the permitted window.
Where sellers lose this one
- They send order paperwork instead of the approval code.
- The approval was for a lower amount and nothing addresses the difference.
